EMPIRE ARISTOCRAT PORTABLE TYPEWRITER Ser. No. S2/ 294E838 A beautifuly constructed and reliable typewriter in light green manufactured by British Typewriter Ltd. This model is often called "English Hermes Baby" and it was produced under licence of the Swiss manufacturer Paillard S.A. It was probably the last version of Empire Aristocrat produced by British Typewriter Ltd. before Smith Corona bought the manufacturer. It is also rarely seen on the market. The machine is clean, has been tested, works very well and quiet, it is also easy to carry and ready for typing. Please expect wear and tear commensurate with age and use as this is vintage, used typewriter. Comes with working ribbon on original metal spools, instructions for use, Warranty Card dated from 1959, and carrying case. Please refer to the photos. Viewing is welcome by prior appointment.
