IKEA VILAN ARMCHAIR/LOUNGE CHAIR Known also as "Pulkka" chair and originally designed by Ilmari Lappalainen for Asko in the 1960s, later also manufactured by IKEA. Not for too long though as this model appears as new item in their catalogue from 2005 and it seems they did not sell it in following years. Ikea version is also designed by Lappalainen but probably with some changes by E.Dafnäs, who is mentioned in the catalogue. The seat is made of woven polyester straps and the frame is birch plywood in natural finish. The seat can be adjusted to two different positions - shown in picture 1 and 2. It is quite large but legs can be detached for transport. The chair has solid construction and is in great used condition with light wear and tear reflective of their age and use. Clean and ready to go. Please zoom-in the photos.
